Space & Dimension by DENNIS CHAN

22 March - 5 April 2025 | E-catalogue

Dennis Chan is not only a dedicated artist but also a hardworking frame maker who transitioned into the art world over two decades ago. His early works were distinctive—crafted without a brush, relying instead on the dynamic energy of splashed pigments. In his first solo exhibition, he boldly used industrial gold & silver leaves — materials traditionally used in framing as a defining element in his paintings, setting his work apart with a unique, unconventional approach. His early works were also featured in several group exhibitions, including a landscape-themed show at the National Visual Arts Gallery.

Over the years, through continuous experimentation and relentless dedication, Dennis has refined his artistic language. Today, he has embraced the brush for the first time, marking a significant evolution in his creative process. It has been a privilege to witness his journey, from his earliest explorations to his present success.

Space & Dimension is not just a showcase of technical skill —it is a profound exploration of form, depth, and perception. This Urban Series presents a fresh dialogue between artist and collector, challenging the way we engage with space in contemporary art. We believe Dennis Chan’s work will leave a lasting impression, opening new perspectives on artistic expression.
